Cabin House 2.1 is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom design that puts all the necessary amenities in a small footprint without making compromises. The house is designed to have a large open space that serves as the living room, and a smaller private part that houses the bedroom and bathroom. Between them, we have the kitchen and the laundry which also doubles as a technical space. The bedroom contains a separate dressing space.
Light was an essential component of the design, with the size of the windows being balanced between being generous, and not large enough to create heat losses. The living room has light coming in from 3 sides, while the bedroom from 2. This is coupled with the open ceiling to create a light interior space. The entire design features separate rooms rather than a large open space, as to make it more intimate and livable.
The plan set contains everything to get you started, from floor plans to elevations, sections, and construction information, as well as a material list. It presumes that you have previous knowledge of how wooden frame buildings come together, as the drawings are technical in nature. Most importantly, material lists are also included, so you can price the project from the start. This ensures that you are buying a design that is ready-to-build rather than a schematic that requires further work.
