The Cabin House series is designed to incorporate the maximum amount of amenities, without compromise, in the smallest possible footprint, creating a comfortable and livable tiny house design, with a complete set of plans that can be used to build the design. For this reason, the design focuses on creating separate rooms, rather than open spaces, to increase functionality and usability. Cabin House 4.1 is the largest of the 1 bedroom models, coming with a larger living room and bedroom as well as a more generous porch that wraps around the house on 3 sides.

The windows are thought to balance generosity with functionality, being large enough to allow as much light as possible, but not overly so as to impact the heating performance of the interior. The living room has windows on 3 sides, while the bedroom from 2 sides. The plan set contains everything to get you started, from floor plans to elevations, sections, and construction information, as well as a material list. It presumes that you have previous knowledge of how wooden frame buildings come together, as the drawings are technical in nature. Most importantly, material lists are also included, so you can price the project from the start. This ensures that you are buying a design that is ready-to-build rather than a schematic that requires further work.

Project information:

• Building dimensions: 24 feet (width) x 43 feet (length) + 5'5'' wide porch

• Total built area: 792 square feet (house built area) + 492 square feet (covered wrap-around porch)

• Ground floor only, 1 bedroom, able to accommodate Queen size bed, with separate dressing space. 1 bathroom, with single vanity and shower, with a separate technical room that can also double as a laundry space. Open plan living room with kitchen, in addition to which an island or dining area can also be installed (island placed by default)

• Structure: Wooden frame, slab on grade foundation

• The plans are designed according to the 2021 International Residential Code. The set contains the PDF printable files, the DWG editable files (AutoCAD 2004) as well as an architectural and structural model in Sketchup SKP format (2019). • Local engineering review (snow, wind, seismic, etc.).

• Interior and exterior materials, finishes, and color selection: Some of them are suggested in the drawings, but you can always change and choose something else.

• Plumbing fixtures selection.

• Lighting fixtures selection: Again, some are suggested, but they can always be changed.

• Mechanical systems (heating, cooling, ventilation): A fireplace is designed along with a hood for the range.
