A classical communist typology apartment from before the 1970s is completely gutted and revamped around contemporary living. The project embodies the ideal of less is more, opting to streamline cost and complexity in favor of an easy-to-implement solution with maximum impact.

The design is kept simple and light, with wooden tones, white, and sand colors to create a breezy feeling. A dining area is added to the living room that doubles as a potential work area as well.

The layout of the apartment is kept intact, with all the finishes removed and replaced. A closet is added at the entrance and the wall between the kitchen and balcony is demolished to connect the 2 spaces.

The kitchen follows the same aesthetic pattern as the rest of the apartment. The breakfast nook is moved to the balcony to take advantage of the views and make the kitchen more functional.
